Natalie Rae Richardson

Amazing designer of the week

I immediately connected with Natalie, when I read her interview with Amelia's magazine and she mentioned her love of surface design.

I love that she was inspired by
and integrated her stance on fur into her design.
I think one of the problems with the fur industry
resides in laziness and the need for quick fashion.

Natalie has shown how much more valuable time spent on a garment rather than the actual quality of the fabric.  Surface design can make any fabric as rich, luxurious and and new by simply using unwanted small scraps that get thrown away.  The small pieces that once were garbage, are then used to make the item more valuable than, for example: fur.

This collection not only has amazing intellectual ideas, but also has great texture pairings and color combinations.
