Sweater: 1960s birds in flight intarsia brown and coral Skirt: 1950s orange with special soutache waist band Socks: H&M brown orange socks faux silk with picot edge Shoes: Marks and Spencer
I've been truly enjoying your latest posts. I've just finished making a 1950s style peach wool pencil skirt. But I live in Maine where it is getting COLD. So I need to wear it with tights. From your pictures, it seems that the color of my fabric resembles your skirt. Do you have any suggestions for leg wear colors? I like your spicy colored socks which promotes the Autumnal feeling. And the color of the skirt is like the underside of some leaves this time of year. Oh BTW I am not Benb (he is my husband/I can't seem to sign out of his account but he's cool) this is Molly (I've commented before and just adore your blog;)!
I would say flesh tone, orangy or reddish browns, or mink brown and silkiness or some kind of shimmer will go sooo well with the matness and plushiness of wool. This skirt sounts so fabulous by the way!!! Your description actually made me want to recreationally sew for myself!! Thanks so much for following my blog and hope to see you back soon!
The colors in your outfit go so well with your hair! That's weird, I know, but it strikes me. That whole outfit is perfect for the autumn... I love the sweater!
