oh the wicker purse!

i was in a store the other day and i saw a robin's egg blue 1950's lilli ann swing coat for $50! and i wish you were there to buy it! it would have been so perfect on you, there were these creamy wispy diagonal stripes.....

once again impeccable combination. And the hat and bag, what can I say? But I also want to thank you for posting such nice detail photos of the dress. I am inspired by the open work, fern leaves-ish panels and the raglan sleeves with eyelets where they meet the bodice. I love how the shoulders appear to be knit at once from the bodice as opposed to set in and seamed. Any whoo thank you from a knitting geek.

knit dresses are one of my favorite types of garments. this one is so special-- I can't believe it's lasted in such good condition through this many decades. the tassel belt kinda blows my mind, as do the big buttons on the back. totally awesome
